Semi-Homemade Peppermint Hot Chocolate is heaven sent.
Yum, right?
I love it when the weather cools down and the holidays are in the short distance. Some get a little nervous as the holidays approach, but I feel ignited. It is like a switch is turned on and I instantly want to throw on my Christmas jammies, trim the tree and enjoy a delicious cup of hot cocoa.
Since it is only October and the rest of my family will think I’m crazy, I’m just going to enjoy a cup of my favorite treat… peppermint hot chocolate. It is semi-homemade, super simple, but oh-so delicious!
Here is how to make your own …
1. Pick your favorite hot chocolate mix and prepare it per the directions on the package.
2. Crush up peppermints. { I place some in a freezer bag and close it and then use a hammer to gently crush them }
3. Spread Marshmallow Fluff around the lip of the mug.
4. Sprinkle the crushed peppermints on top of the marshmallow fluff.
5. Sprinkle mini marshmallows in the mug with the hot chocolate.
That is it! A yummy combo of peppermint and chocolate. And it looks like you spent forever on it, but that is our little secret, ok. Semi-homemade is the way we roll!
So now, you can create a fun and simple craft for your family with this easy snowflake mug and something yummy and easy to go in it! Do you have favorite mugs that you only use during the cooler months or holidays? These would be a great addition to your collection!
I admit it, we are ready for some chilly weather to get us in the holiday mood. There is something about this time of the year that is magical, so why not celebrate it to the fullest! Enjoy!
