Do you have everything you need for back to school? We have backpacks, lunchboxes, everything from the school supply list, but we always add a few extra things… fun colored pens and highlighters. They are so important for my visual learner!
I love technology and my children both have a school issued computer, but we thrive when that technology is paired with good old fashioned pens and such for taking notes, keeping a good calendar and using colors to stay organized. This is an essential part of my kids getting in their back to school groove and it totally gets them pumped about learning.
We hit Target last week to get all of our essentials. Our favorite and most needed supply were the Pilot Pen at Target. There is nothing better than a well designed, smooth-writing pen to help you get organized for the year ahead. The Pilot Pen is always our go-to product because of the selection, colors and they work so well. Pilot has been around for more than 100 years!
We found all of our fun Pilot Pen in the School Supply Section, as well as the Office Supply Section at my Target.

Here are the fun ways we are using the Pilot Pen to help my student learn well, stay organized and have fun!
Keeping an Organized School Agenda
An organized agenda helps my daughter keep track of homework assignments, upcoming tests and her sports practice schedule. It helps her to keep a clean calendar and update any changes that are made for due dates and practices.
When you use FriXion pens, you don’t have to stress about mistakes. FriXion is a smooth writing pen with gel ink, but also allows you to erase at any time, so you can write, erase and rewrite until it’s just right. This makes for the perfect calendar pen when your schedule changes all the time.
For my daughter, using colored pens while taking notes really helps her to stay focused. She loves using different colors to help her organize her thoughts and this pays off big time once she is home preparing for tests and quizzes. With 27 bright and vibrant colors, she can organize to her hearts content. It really helps make learning fun.
They say that the G2 is the ultimate pen for the everyday overachievers and it is#1 selling gel ink brand/pen brand in America. We totally see that and love that it is the smoothest writing gel pen we’ve used and the design is comfortable to grip during the long school day and beyond.
We are also digging the FriXion Fineliner 12pk and the FriXion Light Pastel Highlighters 5pk that are new at Target. You can never have too many colorful and well-writing pens!
As a mom, I’m all for buying my child something that helps her express herself and stay focused. Learning really should be fun and this is one small step for making it a blast for my visual learner!
