Hey y’all!
I thought I would share some of the festive Valentine decor that we have been enjoying in my kitchen with you today. I have a baker’s rack behind my kitchen table, you may have seen a peek of it in my post about those fabulous paper snowflakes, and it is the perfect little spot for showing off all of my holiday-themed goodies.
Here is what it looks like right now all decked out for Valentine’s Day…
This is one of the main hubs in our home. I put our mail, papers to be filed, coloring books, and children’s craft goodies on the middle shelf for easy access. I love that they are close at hand and I love that they have these adorable black chalkboard heart tags, even more.
Aren’t they so sweet? Do you ever see the ceramic shapes at the craft store and think they are so cute, but what on earth would I do with them? Well, this is what you do, especially when it comes with a hole pre-drilled! All I did was paint it with black chalkboard paint and tie it on to the basket with a little grosgrain ribbon.
The girls loved the little heart tags so much, they didn’t even notice that I threw away over half of their old markers and crayons! It was a little job that was way overdue!
This heart banner has graced this baker’s rack for over three years now! It was a cinch to make. I just cut out the hearts (a front and back piece for each) and sewed around the edge, leaving a little hole to thread the twine through. Easy Peasy! Bonnie made a little chalkboard heart banner last year, go check it out too!
Thanks for letting me show off some of my Valentine decorations with you this morning! Today my kiddos and I will be spending the afternoon making Valentine’s for their class and celebrating Daddy’s birthday!
