Summer is just around the corner here in the deep south! It is time for front porches, rocking chairs, sweet tea, and beautiful flowers! My goal for this year was to create new pillows for my front porch and I love the way they turned out!!
I used a Premier Prints chevron pattern. It is a fern green color. I simply created envelope covers for my existing worn out pillows. Originally I was going to also create smaller pillows to place in front, out of a beautiful Robert Allen floral, but I decided the simplicity of the green color and graphics of the chevron print were just enough!
It took me about an hour to sew all three and by creating the envelope closure above, I can change them out more economically throughout the year. Not to mention with 2 kids,1 bunny, and 2 guinea pigs, they can be easily washed!!
The window boxes got a makeover as well!
I will finish with a little sneak peek of my next project…this grapevine flower wreath is getting a little upgrade as well!!
ENJOY!!
