Hey y’all!
Today I am sharing my favorite kind of craft… a simple project that anyone can make! I hope that you will love this bat garland as much as I do!
I adore the feeling of being able to start and finish a project in less than twenty minutes. It really makes crafting enjoyable and I have a feeling I am not alone in this. It also looks so precious you will want to make a few of your own!
Before I share how to make this fabulous holiday decoration, I have some exciting news! Just in time for Halloween, we have a new member of the family… meet Midnight. She moved herself in a few weeks ago and is such a doll! Another fun announcement is that we are sharing a sweet idea that goes perfectly with the simple bat garland over on the Tiny Prints blog today! I just can’ t believe it! It would mean the world for you to pop in and say hello!
Supplies Needed:
- black stiffy felt
- bat template
- thick embroidery floss
- large needle
- white crayon or marking pen
- scissors
Step One. Print off a template from the internet. I typed in bat template and several dozen showed up. I picked the shape I liked best and printed it off on cardstock. I traced the template on the stiffy felt using a white crayon and cut them out.
Step Two. To string the garland, you will need to make a small cut near the top of the wings. Thread your needle with the length of string and go through the front and back around from the bat. That is it. So easy!
Now hang up that garland and enjoy it!
To see those fun treats we were talking about.. head on over to Tiny Prints!

Oh my gosh, I love this so much! We have a teeny tiny little landing as our “front porch” and this would look so cute along the doorway. I’ll make one and share the pic with you!
