Hi guys! It’s Kristy from The Life and Times. Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner? I don’t know about you, but Thanksgiving is one of my all time favorite holidays. Not only is the food yummy, but it is a great time to reflect on what is important to you. Today I’m going to share with you a super fun and easy idea for your Thanksgiving entertaining that combines both yumminess and thankfulness…
Thankful Cupcakes!
When I saw these chalkboard picks on the Target Dollar Spot a few weeks back, I knew I had to find a use for them! The possibilities are really endless, but I decided to use them to write things and people we were thankful for. Much like a spin on the Thankful Trees that you see popping up this time of year.
I found it difficult to write with an actual piece of chalk on the picks because I have rather big, “teacher handwriting.”
(I mean I did teach Kindergarten for 10 years…)
I decided to use a white colored pencil to make it easier for me. The downfall is that it won’t erase, but for a dollar, it was fine by me!
After my family brainstormed and wrote out what and who we were thankful for, I stuck the picks in some yummy cupcakes and set up a fun tablescape with some brown kraft paper, a bunting banner, and pumpkins.
So easy and so fun!
This would be something fun to do with your entire family or set it up as a kid’s activity that they can work on while waiting for the turkey to cook!
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving with you and your family!
