I’ve got your weekend breakfast treat covered! Get to the farmers market for some amazing peaches and make this Peaches and Cream Monkey Bread for all of your crazy monkeys!
I promise you’ll see their arms flying back and forth for this sweet treat.
Ok, ok… this may be a bit too decadent for breakfast.
Instead, try it as a replacement for a peach pie at your Labor Day Weekend Party or even Fourth of July. I know it’ll be a huge hit.
This is best served while still warm. With little pockets of cream cheese, I liked it best while the cream cheese was still soft.
Fair warning – I tried it after it got cold and I didn’t like the texture of the cream cheese anymore. Blech!
I hope that everyone has a great back to school experience! My public school neighbors start school today, but my private school daughter doesn’t start until Sept 5th. I’ve got two weeks home with her while her friends are at school.
She’ll be lucky if I survive.
Ingredients:
2 tubes Pillsbury Biscuits
2 Peaches, peeled and sliced
4 oz Cream Cheese
2 Tbls Brown Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 C Butter, melted
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 deg F. and grease a bundt pan.
Open the biscuits and cut each one into quarters. Press each quart flat and place a small amount of cream cheese in the center. Fold the dough around the cream cheese pinching the seam closed. Add to the bundt pan.
Fill the bundt pan with 1/3 of the dough and add in 1/3 of the peaches. Continue layering the dough balls and peaches until full.
Melt butter and stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Drizzle over the dough and bake for 30 – 40 minutes.
The peaches will release extra juice, so don’t worry about there not being enough butter to coat.
Allow to cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then flip over onto a serving dish. Enjoy with some fresh whipped cream.
