Hey Y’all! Cinco De Mayo is just a few days away and I thought I’d share some of my favorite papel picado projects and decorations!
If you aren’t familiar with papel picado, it technically means “perforated paper”. It is a Mexican folk art where they chisel shapes into brightly colored tissue paper and is used for celebrations everywhere, including Cinco de Mayo! You may have noticed that I love all forms of tissue art if you have seen my tissue poms and tassel garland. There is just something so fun about creating beautiful little paper pieces of art and it is so inexpensive, too! Mix that with all of the bright colors and it is just the perfect introduction to Summer!
