I created these simple but elegant Metallic Stenciled DIY House Number Buckets for my own front porch this fall, and I am going to share with you have to create your very own…
I just love how these turned out and the impact they created on my porch. Casual and rustic, perfect for the fall season. Switching out flowers and plants will be super easy!
Here is how to make your own Metallic Stenciled Buckets:
Supplies Needed: {affiliate links}
1.DecoArt Dazzling Metallics in Rich Espresso
2. Buckets,one for each house number { similar one }
3. Sponge Dauber
5. Painter’s Tape
Can I tell you how much I love these metallic paints by DecoArt ? They are beautiful and cover fabulously! This Rich Espresso color is perfect for a neutral look on burlap, with just a bit of glimmer!
Step 1: Tape your number stencil onto the burlap square. You can either use pre-made number stencils, or create your own in a custom size with a cutting machine. I cut my own so that they would fit perfectly on the burlap.
Step 2: Use your sponge dauber to gently apply the paint to your stencil and burlap. Use a simple up and down motion to apply the metallic paint.
Step 3: Once you have the number covered, remove the tape and stencil from the burlap on the bucket gently.
Step 4: Once I removed the stencil, I decided I wanted to add little dots in the corners { almost like bolts }. So I used one of my easiest methods to do it…ready… I used the tip of a pencil eraser. It makes perfect circles and it was the perfect size…
I really think the little dots pulled it all together, don’t you? You know, it is always that little detail that makes a huge difference and makes a project seem complete. It is all perfect together down to the fringed edges.
All that was left, was for me to fill each pot. I choose sweet fall cabbages…
Paint can do amazing things for a simple project, don’t you think?
This turned into a perfect accent for my porch. Of course the possibilities are endless for color choices, what to paint on them, and flowers to go in them. I adore a versatile project. DecoArt has so many gorgeous fall color choices, picking just one might be the toughest part of this diy project.

I am so excited about finishing my front porch for fall and this project pulled it all together. I adore the sweet plaid blanket I found to snuggle up in a rocking chair on the front porch. Add a few pumpkins in and we are all set for Halloween too.
I also created a stunning Fall Wreath for my front door…
Fabric, burlap, and felt….how could you go wrong? The felt flowers are the perfect little touch.

Nice simple great looking, not too expensive project, right up my alley. Loved this post and especially the project. Can take this idea to many areas for one’s own which I love. Give me burlap and am ready, darn stuff has me bewitched. A clerk at our Hobby Lobby fabric dept. told me last year burlap was on it’s way out. I told her she ought to go on blogs to find out different. Seems to me burlap is still very popular for many uses, noticed you have used burlap for several projects.

Love your flatware holders and chargers. Did you paint stripes or are they made with striped burlap ribbon? Would be whole lot quicker and easier using already striped burlap ribbon. Guess will have look at Hobby Lobby when they have 50% off ribbons. Am too thrifty to pay full price, always looking to save, more I save the more can make. I feel lucky we have Joanns, Hobby Lobby and Michaels in Grand Junction, all within mile or so of each other.

This project turned out lovely. The dots in the corners are a fun detail as if the burlap numbers are nailed to the metal pail.
