Can you feel it? Well, here in the south we can…SPRING! The weather is getting warmer, the birds are chirping, and new growth is all around us. These are a few of my grandmother’s irises …my mom gave me a few years ago and they are my “Welcome to Spring!” each year.
I don’t know about you but spring makes us excited for outdoor projects and adding beautiful color around our yards. This year we are joining up with The Home Depot Garden Club to help us along the way.
I am just itching to fill up my window boxes…I have 5… with beautiful annuals and herbs. This is always such a fun day for my kids and me.
These are our window boxes from previous years….sigh..doesn’t this one just look ready to have some color added…
What does spring get you excited for around your home? Is it planting containers, tackling a outdoor entertaining area, or maybe creating a sweet butterfly garden?

Do you often have questions about what will do well in you region or need a little inspiration to get you started? I know I do. Not sure what types of plants will do well in your area or in a hanging basket?
