Fourth of July is almost here folks… almost. There is still time to whip up some quick and easy painted patriotic serving utensils. Go for it… they will add so much pizzazz to your table or July Fourth buffet.
Now that you are ready… let me show you how to make some for your family …
Supplies:
- Wooden Serving Utensils
- Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Romance,Lace and Legacy
- Americana Decor Soft Touch Varnish
- Star Stickers
- Painter’s Tape
To make the stars and stripes… it is only a matter of a little tape! Tape off the area where you want your pattern to go. Now we want to paint the taped off area white.
Affix star stickers from the office section at your local superstore on the white once it is dry. I cut the painters tape in half and attached it to the other utensil to make the stripes.
Now paint on a little red and a little blue. To follow up, add a quick coat of the soft touch varnish. This will give the paint more protection and strength. You can now handwash the utensils when you need to, as well! You now have the cutest stars and stripes serving utensils for your next get together… it couldn’t be any easier! Have fun folks!
