A great friend of ours asked us to create a very special wreath for her and we were thrilled to do so! She had been to a Willow House party and was just taken by their version of this cross wreath. Since the wreath was not available for purchase we set out to create our version using theirs as our inspiration….
Cross Wreath
First we found a gorgeous metal cross, but the color was just not quite right..
So we spray painted it with gold leaf spray paint to give it a little pop! You might prefer a more rustic look….either way is beautiful!!
Next we covered a simple 18 inch straw wreath with sheets of lush green moss…this alone is a beautiful simple wreath!
We took beautiful gold ribbon and wrapped it around the wreath in opposite directions, forming a criss-cross pattern. The vision was really coming together…
After a few adjustments to the ribbon, tying off the ends, and adding a simple gold bow to the top…the look was finished!! She was thrilled beyond words and that makes it all worth while!
