Christmas is HUGE in my home! The entire extended family celebrates at my home on Christmas Eve. We have all ages present, so we have a variety of Christmas decor themes throughout our home. Our kitchen is the heart of the home and so at Christmas, we decorate in a sweetshop theme. I needed a special table for the “not so little kids” to sit at to enjoy Christmas dinner, and I was given the opportunity to put together the perfect Santa’s Sweetshop Table with Dollar General Holiday décor …
I was incredibly pleased with the selection of Dollar General Holiday décor. Dollar Genereal is the ideal place to get your fashionable holiday dining decorations at prices lower that most stores. The selection was wonderful and here is what I purchased…
I was so excited to find that adorable Santa complete with an apron and wisk! Perfect for our Santa’a Sweetshop theme. I choose some fun wrapping paper for the table, old fashioned Christmas candies, and fun little holiday decor accessories!
Here is how I started creating the tablescape…
I simply placed the craft paper I purchased from Dollar General on my own tablecloth. I love the look of the craft paper in the kitchen!
Next, I layed the fun Christmas wrapping paper I purchased on top of the craft paper to complete my table runner. I added the adorable glittered, red ribbon down the sides to give it a little sparkle! Seriously, the ribbon selection from the Dollar General Holiday décor was great!
Next, I added the sweet santa as my centerpiece. I gave him a few mini candy canes I purchased in his apron pocket and then surrounded him with the adorable old-fashioned ribbon candies. I even hung the mini candy canes around my plate.
I was so excited to find this ribbon candy at Dollar General! My grandmother always had this at Christmas and it just brought back warm memories for me and was the perfect accent to my Santa’s Sweetshop Table!
I created little place settings at each seat with adorable Dollar General Holiday décor ! The paper candy boxes are the perfect holder for a little treat and a letter to Santa. I even snatched up those cute, lime green striped candy cane pens for the kids to write with! A great little party favor too! Seriously, I could have shopped for the kid’s things forever!
I love how my Santa’s Sweetshop table, made with Dollar General Holiday décor, turned out! I was able to get everthing I needed to finish my table at my local Dollar General. The selection was wonderful and the prices were lower than most other stores! Sweet! Whether you want a whimsical look or more formal one, Dollar General is a great place to shop for your holiday table decor!
