I love this time of year because of so many things, but it is a really special time for our family. See, it is a celebration time for so many of us…. birthday celebration time! I created these fun, colorful, and Personalized Cupcake Stands to help everyone have their own little party! They also match my full size cake stands… score!!
Everyone should feel extra special on their birthday, right? Young or old, these sweet little cupcake stands make them the center of attention on their special day.
Let me show you how to make a cupcake stand with a personal touch…
Supplies {affiliate links}:
- 6 3/4″ Wooden Candlestick
- 5″ Round Wood Plaque
- E-6000 Glue
- Screw Eye
- 3″ Alphabet Letters
- Acrylic Craft Paint – I used Turquoise
- Extra Fine Glitter – I used Aqua
- Hole Punch
- Ribbon
- Glitter Glue
- Spray Paint – I used Apple Red
Step One: Spray paint your candlestick and round wood plaque. You should also go ahead and paint and glitter your chipboard letter on the front and back.
Step Two: Once dry, flip over the wooden circle and insert screw eye about 1/2 inch away from edge.
Step Three: Affix the candlestick to the bottom of the wood circle in the center with E-6000 glue. I put a can on mine to make sure there was a tight grip while it dried. I recommend following the package directions and letting it dry overnight.
Step Four: Now you will punch a hole in the letter and tie it to the screw eye that is hanging on the underside .
Step Five: Now just add your cupcake and you are ready to celebrate with the special birthday person!
Aren’t they the cutest little guys?! I might even have to serve up a muffin for breakfast on birthdays with these too.
What do you guys do to celebrate birthdays at your house?
And for the more traditional birthday cake fans, these adorable DIY Cake Stands are amazing…
We have the full tutorial on creating your own set!
