Remember this final photo in the 4th of July Wreath entry?
Well….I finished up the pillows with one small change. See the funky fabric on the left? I decided to use it for another project…a little clothing item for myself!! Anyway…the pillows turned out so cute!!
The red ticking one is an 18×18 pillow with an envelope closure on the back. I made a simple, little unfinished edge ruffle, offset to one side…
The linen pillow is 12×16 and has an envelope closure as well, with jute webbing running down the middle. This gives it a very rustic look to blend with my burlap wreath.
I don’t know about you, but I am all about multi-tasking…even with my home decor projects. These can easily be slipped off and stored and the inserts used for another season and holiday! Also, by not using strictly 4th of July fabric, I can use these throughout the year!
What is this picture you ask? Well, all during my porch projects my family has been watching another family grow up. I feel like they are my babies. The momma house wren made her tunnel-like nest in one of my hanging baskets. We all were able to watch them from eggs, to hatching, to leaving the nest. They left today, all 5 of my little babies!!
Enjoy your 4th of July!!!

YOur post caught my eye for two reasons…I was thinking of linking up by finding an old picture of some porch pillows I made…. and there I saw your porch pillow with almost the same red ticking! I love your ruffle addition. Great idea!

Loved the pillows and red wreath. Where did you find the ticking fabric? I have been searching for brown and white ticking fabric to make a dust ruffle for twin bed.
