Hey y’all!
I was thinking the other day about how my wedding would have been so different if Pinterest had been around back in the olden days… ha! I would have totally gone crazy over all of the amazing ideas out there. At least Bonnie and I were able to host a couples wedding shower several weeks ago so I could get my fix of wedding crafts! Today, I can’t wait to show off how we made these painted initials for a wedding or shower!
I love showing off a couple’s monogram, so we put together a quick craft of painted paper maché initals for you!
Supplies Needed:
DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint in Sea AquaPaper Mache LettersDecoupage Glue Gold Glitter
Are you ready to learn how to make them? This project was so easy, even my six year old could have made it. Simply paint a couple of coats of the acrylic paint on each letter. Let it dry completely. For the ampersand, you are going to paint a layer of the decoupage medium and them sprinkle glitter on. Now you want to let this dry completely. You can add a spray sealer to the letter if you’d like for a little added protection. All done!
Emily loved her letters and she is planning on decorating with them in their new home. I was so glad that she liked them and it was so fun to craft for a wedding. I need someone else to get married so I can make wedding crafts for them… any takers? Maybe I’ll make something fun for the girls this week…. painted initials for their rooms maybe?
Be sure to check out the complete party post for the Backyard Couples Wedding Shower. It is packed with adorable ideas for wedding showers and everything is so simple to put together!

Love the letters!!! And the colors you chose to do them in. The blue is light and has a feminine feel to it, but still manly enough for a “couples” shower too.

Sweet idea and I love the combination of the aqua with the gold glitter. I also always wonder how different my wedding would have been too if Pinterest was around! In a way I think it would have been so much pressure that I would have ended up in a mental hospital!!

How beautiful! I especially love the gold glitter – it accents the color of the letters perfectly!
