Trish and I absolutely love seasonal crafts and decor, and this Burlap Flag Banner is one of our favorites! Today I {Bonnie} am going to tell you how I created this simple, yet stunning, decoration…
Burlap Flag Banner
I promised myself last year, that I would finish my Fourth of July porch decor and believe it or not, I did!! This banner was on the top of my list, it just screams patriotic!
Supplies Needed For American Flag Burlap Banner…
American flags {these came in a 3 pack in the Target dollar spot!} Burlap fabric Jute Twine Sewing machine and threadI had snatched up the American flags when all the Fourth of July decorations went on clearance the previous year and I stored them away, with every intention of making this banner way before the 4th of July last year!! I actually had it done with a few days to spare!
My front porch is rather large, so I made four individual banners and tied two together on each side. Each banner has 6 flags sewn with a simple zig-zag stitch onto burlap rectangles. I then attached each rectangle to jute twine by simply folding the burlap over the twine and stitching in place!
I love the simplicity of this banner ! It alone would have made a beautiful porch, but instead I added a few other patriotic touches….
A few of these adorable American flag lanterns and…
Some patriotic porch pillows with a red burlap wreath for the front door!
LOVE how my patriotic porch turned out!
We are truly blessed to live in the “land of the free”…

I am a sucker for burlap, but just haven’t seen any new ideas lately. You know…when you look through all these parties and it all seems like it has been done before? Your adorable flag banner is FABULOUS!! I am definitely going to have to make this a priority to get done this year! Thank you for sharing…and your whole front porch is just too perfect!
